A lesson on Practicing Difficult Passages brought to you by Strings By Mail (thanks!) and Gohar Vardanyan. This is a nice lesson for beginner to intermediate students who are trying to discover what is necessary in the practice room to accomplish pieces successfully. I think the important thing to consider is that everyone will tell you to practice smart and efficiently rather and just repeat a ton of repetitions. Then again, in the end, pros practice smart and efficiently and do indeed use repetition! Seems like a simple idea but don’t shrug it off. The true meaning of this may take years for students to understand, partly because it means something a little bit different to each person. You need to understand what this means for YOU, your brain, and your body. Go Zen with it folks. FYI, you can buy her Warm-up book via Amazon: Complete Warm-Up for Classical Guitar.
